A lovely blog dedicated to the beautiful betta. All photos posted are from (aquabid.com) unless stated otherwise. Enjoy the page!

Veiltail  the most commonly found betta and usually the cheapest, its caudal fin droops down and resembles a veil
Crowntail  easily found but not as much as the veiltail. The fins fan out into spikes. SHOULD NOT BE CONFUSED WITH FINROT
Doubetail  the caudal fin is seperated into two lobes. Not always as exaggerated as in the drawing. Can come in a delta, halfmoon, or plakat form as well.
Delta  fins have straight edges and fan out over 130 degrees but not quite 180 degrees
Halfmoon fins fan out to 180 degrees, anything more than 180 is considered an Over Halfmoon
Plakat Has short fins close to the body. Can be found in crowntail, doubletail, halfmoon, and over halfmoon. Be sure not to confuse it with a severe case of fin rot
Rosetail a variant of Halfmoon. The fins are so big that they have a ruffled appearance and overlap on itself
Feathertail  another variant of Halfmoon. excessive caudal finnage causes the them to look like they branch out and look like feathers.
Spadetail  the caudal find start big and roundand end in a point. Not as common as other tail types
